A Research Committee shall be constituted to oversee research activities. The committee will:
- Formulate strategies and guidelines for research.
- Evaluate and approve research proposals.
- Recommend funding and infrastructure support.
- Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Objectives
- To encourage quality research among faculty, scholars, and students.

- To establish mechanisms for research funding, monitoring, and evaluation.
Research Promotion
- Faculty are encouraged to undertake individual and collaborative research projects.
- Research incentives (seed money, awards, leave for research work, etc.) will be provided based on merit and outcomes.
- Students will be guided to participate in minor projects, seminars, and research-based learning.
Research Funding and Grants
- Faculty and scholars are encouraged to apply for internal and external research grants (UGC, DST, ICSSR, etc.).
- The institution may offer seed funding for promising proposals.
- A database of funding agencies and deadlines will be maintained and shared regularly.
Research Ethics
- All research must comply with ethical guidelines, including obtaining informed consent, avoiding plagiarism, and protecting confidentiality.
- Plagiarism checks are mandatory for all thesis submissions and faculty publications.
- An Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) will be formed for ethical review of research involving human/animal subjects.
Publication and Patents
- Faculty and students are encouraged to publish in peer-reviewed and indexed journals.
- The college will support participation in national and international conferences.
- Innovations resulting from research can be protected under intellectual property rights (IPR), and guidance will be provided for filing patents.
Collaborations and MOUs
- The college will actively seek research collaborations with universities, industries, research institutions, and government bodies.
- MOUs will be signed to facilitate joint research, exchange programs, and access to advanced infrastructure.
Monitoring and Review
- Each department shall submit an annual research report.
- The Research Committee shall review research progress and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Feedback from stakeholders will be considered to update the policy periodically.
